On the 14th of June Team Rawcliffe set about raising some money for Alzheimer’s Society in the yummiest way possible….
In 2017, Cupcake Day raised over one million pounds for people affected by dementia and this year we were more than keen to get involved. So what’s Cupcake Day all about?
It’s a day when people across the nation unite to fight dementia with the most mighty of weapons: the wooden spoon. Yes, for hotshot bakers and first-time makers alike, this is a fantastic opportunity to do something fun, creative and very tasty in support of Alzheimer’s Society. We’re the UK’s leading dementia charity, working to create lasting change for people affected by dementia – and every crumb raised on Cupcake Day will go towards helping them.
Three lovely members of the team baked some scrumptious muffins and cupcakes [in addition to some cheeky store bought ones] and there were even some raffle and sweepstake games all based around- you’ve guessed it- CUPCAKES!!
We raised £74 all together and it’s safe to say the whole event went down a treat.
